Thank you once again to everyone who has bought our CD tonight. A reminder to those who are buying them from me on Saturday, I will be in the Peacock back room next to the door to the garden from 3pm at the Arsenal game. I will also have books for those who ordered them. Don’t forget, last minute Christmas presents for the Leeds United fan in your life.

Despite the score, my stress levels were through the roof before I got to Leeds but being at the game actually brought them down would you believe. Once we were two nil down very quickly, I was resigned to the outcome and just hoped we could keep the score down. Sadly, that wasn’t to be as Guardiola got one over Bielsa at long last, but tonight’s game made me realise the gulf between the teams. We have been out of this division for too long and were given a football lesson today. Outplayed and outclassed maybe, but our lads never stopped trying however difficult it was. Money talks that’s for sure, with the net worth of their players against ours. One thing I will say though is I apportion no blame to Meslier. He made some class saves including a double save only to see them score at the third attempt and without those, we could have been looking at a double figure defeat.

One thing I will say is that after the diabolical treatment of our fans at Chelsea at the weekend, the difference with the Northern Police was good to see. Treated like human beings without heavy handed tactics makes such a difference so thank you.

Team: Meslier, Shackleton, Ayling, Llorente, Raphinha, Dallas, Forshaw, Firpo, Roberts, James, and Harrison.

Subs: Klich for Shackleton (injured 38), Gelhardt for James (45), Drameh for Firpo (73).

Subs not used: Klaesson, Summerville, Cresswell, Greenwood, Jenkins, McCarron.

Leeds lost the game 7-0.

Attendance: 52,401 with 3,000 Leeds fans.

Referee: Paul Tierney.

Booked: Firpo.

There’s not much I can say about the final score tonight as the score line tells its own story but, I am still proud to be a Leeds fan. Our fans showed their class by singing and getting behind the team despite being seven goals down and that support was appreciated by all the team. The first half was very painful to watch as a Leeds fan as we could hardly get out of our half with the constant battering from City that put us two goals down after 12 minutes. It didn’t get any better in the second half either as it became a game of damaged limitations, although I never expected us to lose by so many. As my coping mechanism kicked in at the end of the game, I’ve banished the score to the back of my mind, and we move on to Saturday’s game against Arsenal. I am hoping for a family day out with my daughters, granddaughters and my husband. For those who have been asking, I will update everyone tomorrow about him. More than anything I want a precious family photo at Billy’s statue. See you there – LUFC – Marching on Together.
