Well what can I say about today? We saw some of the best football seen at Elland Road for a very long time together with a fantastic atmosphere from the Leeds fans! Seeing and hearing the whole ground (apart from the town fans) singing so loud and celebrating was great. Loved it and it was great to come out of the match feeling on top of the world! Hats off to Redfearn and the team today and looking forward for more to come. A great 3-0 win which started with a fantastic strike by Austin, wow! Thought we were giving town too much sight of the ball just before half time when we broke away to the south stand when Bellusci was unlucky to hit the crossbar I think, only for Antenucci to reach the rebound to send us further into the Leeds right on half time. Couldn’t have been a better time. Doukara got a third to send us into raptures. Even when we ended up with 10 men we showed town how football should be played. A great result, 3 points and well done to everyone. Marching on Together!

Nice to see a great turn out once again from the Leeds fans but I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many empty spaces at Brum in their stands. Unfortunately I won’t be posting any photos from Bournemouth itself as I can’t get time off work for far away mid week games. I would much rather be there in person but will have to watch the beam back instead. Will be there in soul if not in person. Nice to see us get back into the match in the second half and a good goal from Mowatt. Definitely work in progress but some good signs to build on.

Nice to get a win today, although only one goal in it courtesy of a Warnock cross, it was important to get the three points after Hockadays sacking mid week. Nice to see Mowatt and Cook playing from the start too. A completely different team as of late and Silvestri performed a miracle at the end of the match to stop Bolton from equalising.

Out of the League Cup but probably best that we don’t have any extra matches than required. Murphy getting sent off meant that we were up against it from early on. A very lively Bradford side but was glad to go in at half time still at 0-0. We defended very deep in the second half and Matt Smith put us ahead with 7 minutes to go. Unfortunately that wasn’t enough for us to win the tie when they scored a cracking goal to level things. They scrambled a winning goal in the last few minutes. I felt that our players tried hard and a win may have boosted the team. Not to be so onto Saturday and see what the Bolton match brings, but it is a must have 3 points match!

We carried on the family tradition of introducing them to Leeds United from birth. My baby granddaughter Alexis attended her first match at 10 weeks old against Dundee United along with her sisters, following her mum who attended her first match at 8 months and still goes to matches. My two youngest daughters Danielle and Emily both attended their first match at 5 weeks old and have had season tickets all their lives.

Once a Leeds fan, always a Leeds fan! I am proud to announce that my second book has an official publication date of 1st September (sorry for the clash Gary Edwards but I will be getting yours!).
My book is about still following Leeds United despite the ups and downs the club has been through. It has some entries from my seventies diary, includes many more matches I’ve been to including some abroad and has memories from other fans. The memories cannot be taken away from us and are what makes our fan base special. This book also has 50 photos in it.
* I am expecting a delivery of books myself next week prior to this date.
Those people who have said they want to buy an autographed copy can therefore make arrangements direct with me.
*I can either meet up at a match and you can pay cash
*Buy one through my paypal account but please note if postage/packing is required this would be in addition to the cost of £12.99 to buy the book. Please use the contact form for postage costs and further details.
Please share this information with anyone who you think may be interested and thank you. Heidi Haigh

“Sunday morning is traditionally sat listening to authors talking about their books about football and music. And this year is no exception. We begin with HEIDI HAIGH talking about following Leeds in the 70s. A lovely lady whose warmth and enthusiasm for her team comes through in her discussion with Dave Simpson. Her book “Follow me and Leeds United” has been added to our shopping list.”

5-0 scoreline with a hat trick from Chris Dawson with Smith and Stokes scoring for Leeds. A brilliant trip and had the chance to see some great football played by our youngsters. I was really proud of them and think we have some exciting prospects for the future! Once again a fantastic turn out from the Leeds fans showing our support is second to none. Marching on Together!
